We just received news that the Chaudhrys won their court case, and have
received leave for judicial review!
The judge ruled that the immigration officer did not take into account the
best interests of the children in making her negative decision. This is great
news, and means the Chaudhrys are one step closer to obtaining
permanent resident status. Now their Humanitarian and Compassionate
application will be re-reviewed by another immigration officer.
The family wanted to thank everyone who came out last week to support them
in court, and everyone who has otherwise supported them along the way.
Everybody (including the Chaudhrys' lawyers) is quite sure that the visible support
of the community in the courtroom made a big difference.
Thank you to everyone for their continued support!
